We have completion!

Yes. It is true. I have met my own personal goal for this vacation week. I wasn't sure it could be done, but alas, I have perservered! My dragonfly curtains are complete! Now they have to be blocked so they hang well. I can't wait to see them on the door! This was a hard project to finish toward the end. I wasn't sure I would be able to finish before the weekend...

The wind has picked up again. We may get snow tomorrow. It is bordering on bitter cold. So this is where Ella is spending most of her time these days... right next to the heater. We tried to move her away, but for some reason, she just loves sitting there!

Now take one of me mom!! I'm cute too! Yes Bailey you are!

My children are adorable when they want to be. As you can tell, I didn't take a picture of our eldest, Chuck. He is resting right now. He has been serenading us at night. Not sure why, but he meows to wake me up to walk downstairs to check the level of the fresh food. Ok looks good, go back to bed. He runs up after me and runs from each side of the bed meowing loudly! Jumps into the closet, muffled meow, out of the closet, hopping onto the bed, walking up mom's side to get to her face... You aren't asleep yet? Needless to say, I am not taking his picture, but maybe I can go wake him up during the day like he has been waking us at night.

As for books, I just finished "Empire Falls" by Richard Russo. Took quite a turn at the end I wasn't expecting! More recently, "Our Lady of Lost and Found" by Diane Scheomperlen. Interesting read for my bookclub where a writer is visited by the Virgin Mary. A work of fiction mixed with real historic visitations. Next is a few kids books before my vacation is up and i have to return them. Then I think

Now I am off to work on the knit comfort shawl. Then I hope to cast on a pair of wristwarmers for CIC. I haven't done any charity projects in a few months, and I am really feeling the need to work on something for someone else.

I can't wait to see them hanging too. They really are a work of art. I love the pictures of the "Kids". It is snowing here and I am going to settle in to knit some mittens. Have a great weekend.
