oh my, oh my

How in the world is it already Dec. 22? Things have been way to crazy. I haven't been on the computer at all while I've been home. Family get togethers and baking have held too much of my attention! Thankful, all shopping is done, wrapped and even under the tree! All my holiday candy making is done. Now it is on to cleaning the house for Cmas day breakfast. Our kitchen is a mess and there are a lot of piles of stuff that need to be gotten rid of.

I did finish a pair of socks for my parent and brother and sister this year. Hopefully they will like the ones that I made for each of them. And so I have been slowly crocheting a lapghan out of a tweed yarn that I received as a gift over the summer. It works up really nicely. I might look for a different color to make a neck scarf for myself. My wrist has been hurting a bit after knitting two pairs of socks back to back and then picking up a crochet hook for the blanket. It doesn't help that I have been working a bit too much on the computer while at work looking to spend some budget money.

I have been keeping track of the number of books that I have read over the last year... I can't believe it but I have read 47 adult novels... can I hit 50 befor ethe end of the year? But overall I have read over 100 books... young adult chapter books, books, on tape and that doesn't include the large number that I read to my kids in library at work... ahh... books...
