1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
I tend to knit with what I have on hand. I go in phases of yarns... Each have a purpose in my book.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
I have a dpn roll up that I bought and a circular case for straight needles.

3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
I learned as a child, but took a refresher class a few years ago. I would say I am Intermediate.

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
I do... I will put up the link here soon. I finally remembered to get it! Amazon book list


5. What's your favorite scent?
I don't like strong scents... lilac, lavender


6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?I do like candies.. chocolates are nice (I am a vegetarian, so no marshmallows or other animal products) I don't have a favorite... I tend to go in phases.

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?I crochet. I don't spin, but I am going to learn this summer. I have two drop spindles and fiber, but haven't been successful yet.

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
I listen to Alternative Music... BNL, Evanessence, Green Day, Panic at the Disco, Cake, Arctic Monkeys, Racontours(sp?), etc...We have itunes here, but no ipod

9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand?I love darker colors, black, brown, grey :), burgundy, blues... I am not a fan of red/pink or bright colors.

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?I live with my husband of 5 years, our dog (Bailey) and two cats (Chuck and Ella).

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?
I wear scarves and mittens, not really hats or ponchos.

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
SOCKS!

13. What are you knitting right now?
A hooded poncho for my one year old niece.

14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?
Yes

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
Depends on the project but I have been using more circs and dpn lately. I am using bamboo right now and LOVE them!

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?
I have a winder.

17. How old is your oldest UFO?
Just what I am working on right now. I start and finish the same project before going to another usually.

18. What is your favorite holiday?
I don't really have a favorite holiday, but I do love springtime!

19. Is there anything that you collect?
Books, yarn, pattern books, I like dragonflies....

20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?
Let me think on this one and I will update... I have a subscription to Interweave Knits and Creative Knitting. I have never knit with or have any "Socks that rock" Yarn or bamboo yarn or tofutsie...

*** I have been looking at this cute catapillar scarf for a while to make for my nieces. The hot pink and green is a great combo...

And one of these days, I will get around to buying and making this felted bag.***


21. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn?
Nothing special that comes to mind.

22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?
Oh yes!! I am a size 7 shoe, so my foot is about 9 inches.

August 14th
