All's well

When it rains....
We had to go out and buy a new dishwasher this morning. Ours sprang a leak last week and we tried several things over the coarse of the week, but we were waking up to wet floors and having to drain it several times a day. Now we have a new one installed and beautiful. It comes with it's own disposal so no rinsing dishes! Pretty cool! I do hope that is the last appliance we have to buy or replace for a while.

School is busy and life has been a little nutty lately with family issues. I hope things settle down on that front as well.

Knitting seems to be to only thing keeping me sane! I think about it all the time. I go to bed thinking ... "oooo! I can work on that hat in the morning because I'll have a half hour to myself!" Pretty funny if you ask me! I have been productive too... Finished up legwarmers to match the ballet sweater:

and I am currently working on the "We/They might be Pirates" hat from Hello Yarn when my DH isn't home. When he is home I pull out a pair of regia stripy socks which are almost done.

Next up are a few hats for the nieces and nephews. I was trying to find a pattern on the Internet yesterday that was a lace cap with a big flower on it in pink from some one's blog.... I thought it was Midnight Knitter, but now I can't find it. I wanted to make a matching cap for the ballet set since I have left over yarn. Maybe I'll wing it I can't keep looking... I can see it in my head, but no luck on my search.

Wow you have gotten so much knitting done. Everything looks great!!
I hope things calm down soon. The holidays are stressful enough without anything else added in.
Good luck with the new dishwasher.

So sorry to hear about your dishwasher, Didn't you just have your water heater replaced? Not a good year for your water related appliances.

Nice choice on the hat for your husband!

The ballet sweater and leg warmers are so cute!! What pattern did you use for the sweater?

Love the pirate cap. He'll wonder when you got a chance to knit it since you are being sneaky.

Your knits are so beautiful as always! I especially love the sweater- and legwarmer set, it's so adorable!
I hear you - sometimes it seems that it's my knitting only that keeps me sane - when I'm about to freak out I think about the projects I work on and of the time when I can work on them again - and woosh, I feel better in an instant! Great that this works for you too, but I sure hope that things will calm down a bit more for you soon!
